the LoFi sock - my long run hack for nerve sensitive feet

I am a hobby jogger currently training for my first ever full marathon at the ripe old age of 45. I fell back in love with running in 2022 and strive to be a bit better every run since.
Whilst I have been fortunate enough to avoid any serious injury over the past 3 and a bit years, my main struggle when trying to increase my running distance is the fact I suffer from Morton's neuroma in both feet. I have tried several different pairs of running shoes, insoles and socks, tirelessly searching for that perfect combination to make running beyond 25km more manageable.
I scoured running forums, read hundreds of run-fluencer blogs, and watched hundreds of hours of running content on YouTube, looking for any recommendation to alleviate my affliction. Then, one fateful day, I received the latest newsletter in my inbox from 'Believe in the Run' that featured a short but glowing review of a new sock brand that I hadn't seen previously, Courier Socks.
A few minutes later, after reading through the descriptions of both the LoFi and HiFi socks, I ordered a couple of pairs of both the LoFi and HiFi socks.
I had tried many types of targeted compression socks with various levels of cushioning, all with varying levels of success to help with my Morton's Neuroma. Typically, whilst my neuroma responds best to a higher level of cushioning, breathability suffers significantly and I find myself compromising the small reduction in pain for the dramatic improvement in breathability, preferring lightly cushioned compression socks.
Enter the LoFi sock! Compromise no more as the LoFi offers me the best cushion of any other running sock I have tried coupled with amazing breathability. Since receiving my order, I have managed to steadily increase my long run distance with vastly reduced discomfort and pain, pushing 30km and beyond over the past month.
As a hobby jogger, we tend to get a little too excited over the latest shoe release, or running apparel and before you know it, the annual running budget is gone in the first 3 months of the year.
However, for my money, the biggest improvement in my running enjoyment is thanks to a pair of socks.
